Troop 138 was founded some 50 years ago and is located in the New England town of Naugatuck, CT. St. Michael's Episcopal Church became our proud partnering sponsor in 1976. We are a unit of the Western District and CT Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Our Troop meets every Wednesday evening throughout the school year from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the church hall, which is located at 210 Church Street. If there is no school due to a weather cancellation or other planned event, no Troop meeting is held.
One weekend camping trip is planned for every month during the school year, and a BSA sponsored week-long (overnight) camping trip is also planned for every summer. These are not required events but attendance is highly recommended to progress with merit badges, build on lasting friendships and experience all the best that Scouting has to offer.
Parents are much encouraged to participate in their son's scouting experience by attending meetings, celebrating at Court of Honor ceremonies (2 times a year), assisting in fundraisers, enjoying weekend family camping trips, and most importantly providing support in all ways possible.
